Quick and easy install took all of 10 mins. Snug fit and feels pretty strong. Take it for a run tomorrow to see. For under $200 I'm happy.

I didn't do it while on the water while running only hit the concrete lip on the driveway so should be OK. If anything the steering mount would be the concern.

I ordered this today after talking to the Ozpropellers guys.
Do not need to reweld skeg on just need about 2 inchs left to bolt this on to.
I'll try it and i can always remove it and weld the broken bit back on.

Skeg guards are not a sked replacement, only a protection add on.
Pretty much what I thought I'll get a mate to weld it back on and order one of those.
Thanks guys.

Sorry they did send 1 text at the start but no one has contacted me or any updates since.

Yeah not happy Jan.
Looking to change suppliers now as i haven't been contacted yet. My details were part of it and in the process of changing licence etc. Really poor service.
They should be fined millions but I hope a lot of customers leaving will have the same effect.

Hi Guys,
Hoping the brains trust on here might be able to help.
Currently drawing up the canopy fitout for my Ranger I just picked up for a work
Don't really want to spend 1k on a drop down fridge slide that takes up half the cab with a 65l fridge on.
I have a waeco that is a few years old that I want to take the compressor and evaporation plates out of and make my own drawer fridge.
I would need a new thermostat and maybe a remote display.
I can make it out of sandwiched plastic/ polyurethane foam board and have a sealed drawer box made easily at work. That's the easy part. It would be 900mm x 500mm x 250mm.
This would give me 110L of storage. Almost double the 60L fridge I have now and only a 300mm high drawer full depth.
Another option is this compressor online.
I'll post some drawings tomorrow of my idea.
Anyone done anything like this before?

Yeah I hope he gets more sponsors to be able to finish it properly.
Props to George for all the work he is doing for free and great to see Timmy learning along the way.
I use Ulrich at work and told them they are doing a good thing by sponsoring the build.

Timmy Turtle's you tube channel has a boat build on it at the moment and it is a good watch. All hand cut and welded.
George is an awesome fabricator and lots of great info.
Check it out.

Didn't want to hijack Kat's thread but I think some might get inspiration from this photo I took of Youngy fishing Nerang River.
He has a massive print of a similar photo(which I will not publish for his benefit)on his wall at home.
I love photography long before I started fishing and I gives me the same satisfaction as catching a good fish.

Anyone use sea water for their ice blocks? That's something i started doing with 2L containers for longer camping sessions and found it to quite a good / cheap hack. Just takes a few days longer to get the ice blocks frozen / cured
No just fresh as i like back up water for the dog just in case.

Also a lot of the spots we fish on the goldy are in the main channels which are like the M1 on the water. You can't anchor there but you can use an electric.

I’ve not caught any more fish that I would have with an anchor
I would argue against this especially offshore. Being able to drop anchor on top of fish and not 100m upcurrent and hoping I land on top of the spot first time is invaluable. And then there's the noise factor.
The jog feature is new and I can definitely see the benefits imagine trying to re-anchor and move 5m to the north. Good Luck.
Also used the track feature the other day for flatties on a 2km long track I recorded first with the main motor. Worked a treat but would have been better if there was no snot weed.

GT Buster used to run a polycraft and flogged it so they are a good hull.
See a few about but I think the manufacturing process might have a bit to do with it.
Lot of people can weld Ali but not many would have the plastic skills or money/room for a rotomoulder.
Also every time you want to do something custom you need a new mould which are expensive.

No good again today and I was about the only one crazy/stupid enough to be out there in the NE wind which I was hoping would drop out about 5 but just got worse.
Mate dropped 2 tailor got a good hit on the squid jig just no hook up.
Anyway still good to get out.

Pretty sure it's the Bond Uni Weir. Some amazing fish caught there over the years.
They have been getting them in Lake Heron I believe as well.
It's 20m deep in parts used to see massive arches on the sounder always thought they were sharks now I'm not sure.
