great looking trip mate, its always been on my bucket list. maybe when the kids are older and will get some enjoyment out of it
no snorkel on the car? curious as to your thoughts on how the ute went and if youd make any mods for next time?

should provide a few good feeds there.
i must say over the years since the snapper closures became a thing, ive noticed alot more quality sized snapper being caught in the bay, even in the high traffic areas. so it must be working

    hey all
finally got around to using my gift voucher for a Noosa offshore charter. although earlier in the week the weather looked perfect, the wind and rain turned up on Sunday morning. I must have caught 20+ pearlies, a few undersized Maori cod and 10 small reds. came home with 2 legal pearlies which turned into a great feed for the family. all in all it was just good to get out and into some fish!

id imagine you mean at casting at tuna? not trolling or anything like that
i would think an 8000 would be more than sufficient. having said that, ive never chased the likes of big kings in the bay. i think the smaller reel would allow for more uses.

honestly id rate them pretty highly. 8.5 out of 10. given it was only a 5 hour charter, everyone on the boat went home with a feed. we only stayed at a spot for a small amount of time with no action before moving on. when the fish came on, it was crazy with the entire boat hooking fish after fish, the pair of them ran around like mad men for a while measuring each fish, sorting out who caught what, de-gassing fish for a healthy release, clearing tangles etc once we were on the fish we just stayed on them until they moved on. they even offered to gut and gill and or fillet for every person on board. i was quite impressed considering it was two younger guys who captained and deckied. they worked non-stop all the way until everyone was off the boat.
