natang reacted to kmcrosby78 in NRL 2022
Got back from Hastings Point today and logged in to check my progress in the tipping. Seems to be an error on the tipping site as I can't seem to see @ellicat at all - perhaps Brian can check and report back ........ 🤔🙃😘

Yep, looking like another long season for us Broncos fans. They weren’t helped by some of the refereeing calls, but they were pretty awful. They had that same lazy, disinterested sort of attitude that we have seen over the last few seasons. Hard to pick a wooden spoon winner but on form, the Broncos, the Tigers and the Titans look like they are contenders.

No good news in that game for Titans fans except the 2 points. That second half capitulation against the Raiders last week seems to have drained the Titans of any form. Some of the worst attack ever by both teams. And some of the worst refereeing I’ve seen for a while as well, but the refs were probably lulled into a trance by the boring attack and ridiculous errors. Let’s hope the standard lifts for the rest of the weekend.

High performing school is not politically correct seen as everybody has the right to a rounded education. Therefore it should read: "I teach at a school that seems to have an above average level of students"...... All this politically, sexually, gender efficiency does my head in as a teacher! Although being a music teacher my grammar was not always the best!

@AUS-BNE-FISHO, that is a 6” reel, and as @GregOug said, it is a direct wind reel which is fine for most of the species that you would be chasing. Takes a bit of experience to use your hand as the drag, but also very rewarding. This is the info on the Alvey site https://alvey.com.au/shop/surf-60g/.

Hi Hamish,
Nice reel although I don’t think that particular model has any drag. Which is fine as long as you know how to ‘feather’ the reel with your hands when you have a decent fish on.
cheers

Back in 15years ago used to get loads off the point near Cornetts store near cotterill avenue, also 8th avenue surf side and up in Buckleys hole. Past the boat ramp near Rescue base used to get some around there too.. Always run in tide and late afternoon.
