Ohh and the electric has a GT56 on it from factory…definitely overkill. I will have a GPSMAP1253xsv and 953xsv on the console and something else upfront for the LVS34. Bride told me to set up new boat exactly how I wanted from scratch.
Your going all out mate,
I had that idea in mind when 1st arranging the new boat, I was wanting a Garmin 8416 & furuno tzt3 12, But come to the realization that the additional costs of around 15k could be put in other areas of my boat & trailer and started pointing myself back towards Lowrance with a 3 in one transducer and a TM260 1kw which I finalized last night.

@Huxstang, i agree with you,
You can spend endless money on the Unit but the transducer is definetley the most important
Most of my fishing is quite shallow up to 30m and almost all moreton bay,

Haha, depends on if I recognize you. @Angry51
I'm hoping it comes up as good as my mind is picturing it.
Hull Color is something new from there range, so I am hoping it comes up a treat.

Have you figured out where you're taking her first up ?
Haven't decided yet, October is still a bit away.
Probably take the wife & kids to Moreton for some squid & a swim.

All,
Just wondering what combo sounder/gps brands people are running in their boats.
I have always been a Lowrance supporter for the last at least 20yrs, find them very simple to use and the price seems to fit the bill.
Been looking at Garmin, Simrad & Furuno Aswell as the Lowrance packages for the new boat and it's not hard to be spending 10-12K on package .
At this point a Lowrance HDS16 is my 1st choice, but happy to hear what others are running.
Also, who prefers the C-map or Navionics in their GPS?
Cheers
Josh.

Hey Josh, You were mentioned with Hamish and Charlie when we were out last week, discussing how we hadn't heard any reports from you for ages. haha Now we know why.
New boat sounds like a ripper. Looking forward to some build pics.
How lucky to be at the ramp at just the right time !
I did see that, yes very lucky, probably the easiest sale ever.

Hey All,
Been a bit quiet this past 12-months, with not much fishing due to lack of motivation & house reno's ,
I think I managed 3 trips in 2022 and didn't catch a fish/ apart from catching live baits & squid, not sure if that counts,
So I sold the Surtees in October 2022 as it hadn't been used enough and the offer was more than I paid for it, wasn't even advertised, just a random guy at the ramp liked it, so he bought it. So, I took it with plans on doing something else with money, but after a trip to Fraser Island before easter for a wedding the itch came back to get back on the water soon,
So last week I bit the bullet and ordered another Surtees, not a Centre console but this time a 610 Gamefisher with a few tasteful additions along with a 130Hp 4 stroke and Aluminum Trailer. The Build will start at the end of May I believe and will be completed sometime in August ready for shipping.
Should arrive early October from NZ and will take about 2 weeks to get fitted out and get her on the water, will be a tough 6 months waiting, but I'm sure it will be worth it.
If I get any build photos i will try to add them up here once it gets started.
Cheers Josh <><

Good going Greg. Your putting together a few good trips
Little tip, try floatlining your baits back towards your spot keeping your bait higher in the water column , if there are bigger fish about they will come up and grab it and run off
I can go into more detail if you like, just let me know

100% @Huxstang, my 1st Surtees was awesome, handled most condition very well for a centre console and it had some serious fish mojo
3 of my best mates have Surtees now and not one has had a build quality issue in the 4 & 5 years they have had them.
it made my decision really easy ordering this one; Welding and Built quality is A1 for a production boat they offer some good options to choose from as standard, plus they are open to customizing some things personally at good rates.
There not everyone's cup of tea, they are a little tricky to drive due to the deep vee, but once worked out they perform well.
