At least you’re game to look. I stopped long ago!
  2. I would say it has to be water related. Something of weight is moving around, and I can’t think of anything else it could be. Without knowing the design of the boat, I would hazard a guess that there’s water in the hull and it’s moving forwards and backwards as you increase speed and decrease speed. However, there’s probably a blockage in one of the central sidewards drain holes at either the aft or the stern, so that when the water runs either forward or backwards, it can’t equalise side to side and level the boat, but once it runs back it can once again equalise. Just an idea.
  3. I totally agree with Ed. I used to camp on Lady Musgrave often when I was younger and there’s no way I’d be going out there in any boat less than about 21 foot.
  4. Why’s the boat not looking so good?
  5. Hi Hamish, Nice reel although I don’t think that particular model has any drag. Which is fine as long as you know how to ‘feather’ the reel with your hands when you have a decent fish on. cheers Greg
  6. Yep. As long as I can find them. I may have lost them though. The last lot of muffins I baked tasted a little bit ‘papery’.
  7. It was actually @Drop Bear that gave them to me.
  8. If you bought it new, which you apparently have, you should ask the dealer to look into it. Did he rig it out? He should have done a water test and should have taken you for a run in it prior to handover.
  9. Hi Hamish, Thanks for the interesting report. Just a word of caution. Not sure what type of welding your uncle was doing but you normally shouldn’t watch someone welding without wearing a welding helmet yourself. There is real danger of permanently damaging your eyes. cheers Greg
  10. All his other limited edition prints are fetching around $500 on https://www.pencilart.com.au/orders.html
  11. And throw up current and let it drift past you with the current. The bream usually nab it on the way through.
  12. Thanks for that KM. I think I’ve got it now. One last thing. If I was sending an email to someone I didn’t like, would I still capitalise the ‘y’ in ‘yours’, or just the ‘u’ in ‘up’? Yours faithfully, Greg.
  13. Is ‘reasonable’ higher than ‘fairly good’? I’m not au fait with the current teacher grading system.
  14. Well! Now that you mention it, a sentence should start with a capital, so ‘Ha ha’ should be followed by either a full stop, an exclamation mark or a comma. And ‘there’ day, should be ‘their’ day. Apart from that, it was a fairly good effort. yours faithfully Old Fogie P.S Thanks for giving me something to do.

So you use the Aldi boat wash in your motor as well? Is it designed for that?
  16. Well done Steve. I don’t even know how you’re getting out there to catch a whiting, with this **** weather!

The problem is, how do you know the motor flush is doing anything? Or even that it’s not damaging your motor? At least with the foaming wash you can see it’s a waste of time.
