  1. What motor does it have on the back?
  2. It’s spelt D, R, O, P. Practice, practice, practice!
  3. Most of the southsliders used to have red necks until I told them to use sunscreen when out fishing.
  4. Well done on the threadie Hamish. I’d tie my pots off when there’s a chance of them being lost due to recent downpours.
  5. I think there’s 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes in each species Kat, so post it anyway. I’m unlikely to beat it anyway.
  6. This should work @christophagus! They’ll never suspect us Northsiders have had our new blue brag mats for a couple of months now.
  7. Hi @christophagus. I did put my hand up for the Northside but it must have got missed. Can you add me please? cheers Greg
  8. Sorry to hear of your injury Cobia. By the way, I must be either injury prone or a fisherman myself. ‘Cause my arm is always in a cast.
  9. So is about three quarters of the world. The Southsiders really only have Antartica for company.
  10. Yes. We won easily for a change.
  11. The morwong looks like someone started to scale it before it all became to hard and they decided to throw it back. As for the wrasse, it’s obvious that it’s been to an overly exuberant acupuncturist.
  12. Well, just checked the forecast and you may as well watch the cricket.
  13. No, no, no! Well at least on the stern drive. The boat is great but go for an outboard. I’ve had stern drives and outboards and I’d never go back to a stern drive. 1. Danger of fires on board. Fumes and dangerous gases can build up under the engine cover and explode on starting. 2. Poor resale value. 3. No kick up ability if you hit an obstruction under water. 4. Costly to maintain. 5. Loss of usable space due to the engine being onboard. 6. Fumes onboard. 7. Less power to weight ratio. 8. Much harder to replace the engine years down the track. 9. They’re bloody terrible.
  14. Don’t bank on them being ‘divine’! Lol.
  15. It looks like an old Stebercraft to me. I used to have one many years ago. Same clinker design to the hull. It was a great sea boat, with a very soft ride even in fairly decent seas.

Thanks to @ellicat and @Gad. And congrats to @Towknee! Well done all.
  17. Hi all but especially @GregN70, Just saw these pictures of fish caught by a member of Redcliffe and Peninsula Fishing Club on their Facebook page. Caught this week in the Fitzroy River. Thought you maybe interested

    Pod or no pod?

I’d advise against it as well. There’s a heck of a lot of difference between having a 90 on the back vs plonking a 140 on it. That’s fifty percent more power on a boat designed around doing a certain maximum speed. If the hull’s not designed for it it could start chine walking or even flip. The difference in motor weight would also make the hull sit more stern down. And most insurance companies may insure you, but reject a claim when they send their assessor out and discover the over-powered engine.
  19. Just be aware that the Viking or Grady White is going to cost you a lot more over here than in Singapore. And that’s even before boat prices went through the roof since Covid.
  20. I have a Dunbier trailer for my Stejcraft ss64 which has been good so far. Good for drive on/drive off. Gold Coast based I believe.
