  1. Bloody hell Hamish. I make sure I make myself a coffee and some toast before I sit down to read one of your reports. Well done on a great day. Did you measure the squire? And how do you measure the air pressure? Do you have a barometer or get it off the BOM website?
  2. Exceeding a bag limit. I wish!
  3. Yeah, it actually got caught around their anchor rope. Unfortunately it wasn’t pretested.
  4. The coronation trout or the coral for breakfast? Oh dear, the first world problems some of us have to bear.
  5. That would be the dispersal method then.
  6. Being the lazy type I just throw it in the burley pot and tow it all over the ocean when I forget to bring it in.
  7. Pity about the lack of fish. 100 litres is a heck of a lot of fuel to use in the bay. What motor do you have?

I don’t even go for upsets and still bomb out each week! And I’m only joining the comp next year if Robbie and Steve enter again.

I had one. Great boat. I thought they had stopped making them.
  10. No, just stayed in a house at Eurong.
  11. Here’s hoping the fishing is intense and the midges aren’t.
  12. I still reckon you missed your calling @ellicat.
  13. One thing I will say is, pound for pound, you must get more meat off a Spaniard than just about any other fish! Especially if you steak it, which we did.
  14. Just off the beach Hamish. Caught just on dark, on an incoming tide, on a dirty old pilly!
  15. Hi all, Just got back from a few days at Fraser. Stayed in a house at Eurong, and managed to get onto a few tailor, although they were far from thick. However, we did manage to land a nice Spanish Mackerel from the beach almost in front of Eurong. Also, a few reefies and bream from a trip to the calm side. All in all, an enjoyable trip.
  16. I agree with everyone above. If you had the money to buy a decent 12 foot aluminium with a reliable motor and you only intended to use it in the river I would say go for it, but you’re not going to get one for $1000. Keep saving and buy one when you can afford it.
  17. No problems here. But I decided to pay the annual fee a while ago so maybe it’s just affecting the non-paying members? Mod Note (for new members): Greg is joking - no fees for AFO
  18. I got a couple and a heap of other crap I’ll probably never use. Lol.
