I’ve had multiple run ins with the police even though my fish are the right size and it sucks to see uneducated fishos keep tiny fish once when I was at the seaway I saw some kids do a catch and cook and they kept a red bass (Known ciguatoxin carrier) they did not listen to me and found out later that night

@Mylesfisher Here's and old webpage with all you need to know about the seaway. https://seawayfishing.info/ Charts might be outdated, but shouldn't have changed too much.
For info on how to use plastic's for snapper offshore see this video.  Similar principles will apply for other fish in the seaway, but you might need a larger jughead to get to the bottom because the current will likely run faster than outside.

I do care about my safety and do have the safety gear on my boat if something goes wrong the thing is is that I’ve seen people on kayaks go to the seaway and my mates have easily gone on 310s I do realise though how ugly the surf can get I’ll ask some more qualified tinny fishos on how safe it is out at the seaway

Oh I like the kayak Idea it’s just that I like fishing with my mates When I have one other person the speed is good I’ll keep my boat like it is. And I’ll do a weight test for my casting deck and motor I’ll see what I can do.
