Wynnum Fishing

Oggy

Recommended Posts

hello,

Can anybody help me with good places to fish in wynnum-manly area on soft plastics. If the fish arent biting there are there any other areas close to brisbane that are good at the present moment for soft plastics. Just recently purchased some Gulp Baby Shrimp, Fry, Minnow, Minnow Grub and Sandworms SP was wondering if these would be any good anywhere around the brisbane area and what we would expect to catch.

cheers,

Oggy :cheer:

Mouth of Lota Creek is a definite go for flathead, pike, flounder, whiting and some times small tailor. You might get a few little ones but it teaches ytou how it is done. Look for water draining of the flats couple of hours either side of low tide. He are a few picks that shows that it works. Pumpkinseed Gulps I think they were but I have used squidgy wrigglers/fish/berkley minnows. Flathead will hit anything that is dragged past their nose.

Also anywhere around the harbour is owrth a try, along the rock walls etc.
