  1. Not to sure on the length but i find the halco twisty in the 30g with a snap swivel on the split ring to work great for macs, the snap swivel just adds an extra bit of protection from the teeth.  As for tuna assuming your fishing for longtails you might need a broad range of metals and stick baits, sometimes they are just not eating what you throw at them.

If you don’t mind using an external site you can make an account on Lensdump, upload your photo there and insert the link here.

Cant find any photo sharing sites that dont charge you and are trust worthy, so if you want to see the photos of the fish i have caught (mahi, cobia, tuna, snapper) just have a look at my insta @dan_beams

How were the shoulder and arm muscles after the fight ?

Not to bad but I’ve still got the same problem out my left hand cramping when I wind with the right so I might switch everything to left handed reels

Admin are aware that there is a problem

Is there anyway to get around it, any external sites?

  4. Sounds like a steal, if you are looking for a reel i would suggest calling up some anacondas and asking about the 2019 kix and Freams, they are on insane clearance deals, im just about to buy a 19 kix 2000 on clearance for $100.  they wont come up on the website but if you call the store they might have them

  5. My mate and i have caught some ok mac tuna off there, the easiest thing to do is to walk around to the end of the pier and on the left is a platform with stairs that goes to the water, but i know thats not always possible with how people fish there so if your planning on eating the fish i would suggest buying something like this https://www.anacondastores.com/fishing/fishing-tools/misc-tools-accessories/wilson-telescopic-12-foot-lure-retriever/BP90091432-black and putting a gaff head on it.

Hi guys, so I am purchasing a 4.2m tinny and its all in relatively good condition but super basic and not comfortable for my fishing style. Planning on doing a deck and making a casting deck but don't know what would to use? Dont want something super expensive but dont want something cheap. Planning to put marine carpet or some boat mat over it, any suggestions for that is appreciated as well. Also what hp motor should i put on it?

    Thanks in advance

sounds like a good buy, for flooring i used marine ply 9mm and put some marine varnish on to top it off. depending on the builders plate you should go at least a 30hp up to a 50

    Good strong reels.

    Left hander too...Nice.

Yeah great reels, wanted to give the left hand crank a go because my left arm cramps hard when i jig for a long period of time so im hoping that this will stop it or it will just cramp my right, time will tell

  8. Running a disabled oil injection would be a safer way to go with the older outboards if you dont trust the oil injection, but would you have issues with the mixing of the fuel as the oil could not mix properly with the fuel having the fuel tank under the floor or is this not an issue?  And also 2 old Evinrude 150s would drain the fuel would it not as they are older model 2 strokes?

Hi guys, im looking for a boat preferable something under 5k so i was thinking a tinny and maybe doing it up a bit. Was wondering what size i should get, thinking of going moerton bay, fraser island and straddie island, also the sea way and port of brissy. Whats the smallest size boat i should get for those condiitons since i know seaway and seawall can be quite rough sometimes

    Thanks

Something like a 429 rampage, 420 dory, 419 bass tracker or 420 busta would be perfect for what your looking for, running with a 40 - 50hp would get you anywhere in the bay on a good day.

Sounds and looks like you have managed to work out your maximum basic range in near perfect conditions. Did you set a track on your sounder or phone?

No, but after doing a quick calculation of bribe to Moreton being 31km so 62 there and back then the beacons and chasing tuna so at least 70 - 80kms on 25L of fuel
