Southern Great Barrier Reef

Heading out Friday morning for 3 days on the southern Great Barrier Reef just had my deckie confirm he is coming with the weather perfect we could not resist to start to plan a big trip out. We get to 1770 on Thursday night and stop at a friends house where after a few beers we will crash the night before we launch the next morning we hope to chase some big red emperor and coral trout etc. The plan is to anchor up behind the reef after each days fishing and a quick snorkel to get some crayfish in the shallows I know a few good bommies that will hold crays all the time, last 1 we found had 12 crays holding up in the 1 bommie. Stayed tuned for a GBR report after the weekend from my little tinnie this is my 12kg PB Red from last trip in march this year.

Obviously very interested in the results considering I am up there in less than 3 weeks...

Thanks Kelvin i have a mate with a big 7.6m glass boat from 1770 that we are staying the night in town with that is heading out with me also Shane69 will be up there around the same time
