Go the Qld teams! 4 out of 4! I was expecting Magic Round to be Tragic Round for my tipping, but if I hadn’t changed my tip from Souths to Storm at the last minute, it truly would have been magic for me. It won’t last, so I want to enjoy it while it does.
Haha, I was hoping 3 of them would lose for you ......... .

I had a problem with my Navara that saw me stranded on the highway on Easter Sunday. Th oil cooler that was replaced in December packed it in and consequently the engine got cooked. New head under warranty claim on the oil cooler manufacturer. Won't see her again until June.
I wanted to take Hamish and Charlie out on the Wednesday afternoon, so had to buy a car quickly and have the auto sparky wire in an Anderson plug for the electric winch Wednesday morning. I could have cancelled fishing but....hang on a sec...no I couldn't cancel fishing. haha
So you bought a different car, but are also getting the Navara back in June. What is the new/different car and which one (or both) are you keeping in June? (Sorry, not trying to sound like your wife ..... ).

Someone has to do it, just like someone has to keep the economy turning over. Well done. haha
We drove past your place of work on the way home and discussed what you may have been up to.
I saw you so yelled at the kids louder (than normal) to ease my internal anger ....... .

Some great advice here. 4.7m is a good versatile length - like @mangajack I'd be interested to know what hull it is. Also, what size motor are you putting on it?
Be careful around the Brisbane River mouth, particularly on an outgoing tide if it is against the wind, as it can get real hairy. I'm not sure what boating experience you have but if you're a new boatie or relatively inexperienced I'd be conservative at first. Also, in the bay, factor in the wind direction versus tide direction as this will have a big impact on your ride experience (which impacts both safety and how wet you get in an open boat).
Put some pics up once you have it .

I think it was a mould he is holding. We got the head after it had been with the mould dude for more than 12 months!
Yep, looks like a mould and not the actual fish. Plus he looks far too comfortable holding it ..... a 22kg fish would take a lot of holding (I would imagine ........ ). Cracking fish - I would get it taxidermied too.

Congrats on the longie mate, they're great fun to catch and sounds like you've worked out a trick to hook them . Beautiful time of the year to be camping and fishing over there. Do you mind if I ask where you camped and what mooring the boat was like - does the tide go out far?

In my defence, I have tried to let you get a lead on me, it's just not real easy when you don't exactly help at your end ....... .

I recall your username, but sadly I can't recall meeting you in the old days.
Brian, to be fair, you can't even recall what trolling boards you're currently using .......... .
Welcome back Andrew, if memory serves me correctly, at one point you were having a run of success on the river jewies (Clara's Rock area?)? Good luck with your shallow water pursuits - I reckon with stealth there are lots of potentially productive spots near shore that are overlooked by those with larger boats, me included.

Now now, there was no need to dig up my inglorious past ......... I'm a changed man ......... A bit like NSW in Origin - one in a row .......... .
Cheers Benno, was great to be able to do it with the kids and my dad, great memories. Just wish all sessions were like that, or even half as good.

Very nice yella,
your luck with the rain was better than mine, it stopped raining, so I went fishing but as soon as I got set up it poured down. lol
Packed up and went home...........then the rain stopped.
You should go fishing out west where they need the rain ......
