I had an unbeatable color, from a well known brand that still exists to this day and has a massive selection available, that absolutely brained the big snapper.

Lo and behold, that color was discontinued.

Why?

They were always sold out.

Probably worked to well.

I've tried all other colours in the exact brand and style that I fancied and basically halved the catch rate, and the overall size of the fish.

Very frustrating imo.

The color will never return I'm told.

Clearly a very clever company ...... Hmmm, we have a colour that always sells out, ummmm, let's discontinue it ........ Clowns!!

Long version: Modify my shed and drawbar on boat trailer (fit a swingaway) so I can have my boat at my place and use it more. As a flow on effect, finally have a crack at some prawns. Also fish the river mouth for jewies and threadies (still yet to catch one). Fish for winter whiting more ( and use the heads as bait to catch more snapper and grassies). And possibly/hopefully start doing a bit of kayak fishing with my boys (they got their first braid combos for Xmas and are keen to catch some flatties).
Short version: fish more (and therefore hopefully catch more ..).

If you haven't heard, a boat carrying 11 people capsized near Green Island yesterday arvo, I think during the storm. Seems that 8 people were rescued, two were found dead (RIP) and the search for the remaining person was called off at midnight last night, with the search resuming this morning at first light. Terrible storm yesterday, enough to turn over what sounds like was a 39ft cruiser. Thoughts are with the families of those involved and please say a prayer that the remaining missing person is found. Very sad .
