    Thanks I’ll stick with gliss and see how that goes other then that I’ve found daiwa J braid x8 to be excellent and the same with X4 both excellent lines

    Na I don’t think sharks are declining maybe a few speices but most of them are increasing in numbers such as rays and bull sharks are pretty much common as flathead in my river there everywhere and at the ocean the river leads into there are heaps of makos and white pointers around to although I do know white pointers have started to decline they might increase population soon due to further protection

    If you compare braid to gliss they are both the same in terms of lack of stretch

    No it doesn’t stretch just like braid . It’s actually a myth that braid lines don’t stretch They do but not by much. It feels just like most x8 braids just a lot thinner for their breaking strain. I would’t say it’s the most abrasion resistance line. Like it says on the packet but it can handle some minor abrasion

    I grap one of my reels before I go for a fishing get some silicone spray and put light finger pressure on the spray can i have the spray can nozzle close up to the spool I then rotate my reel as I slowly do short sprays making sure the silicone spray only goes onto the line. Basically I just make sure all the line is coated in silicone spray on the reel spool while being careful not to get it anywhere else on my reel.

    Ok all good I mainly found it improved the performance of the line it’s a lot more manageable with silicon spray and less knotty but the standard Gliss isn’t that knotty I just prefer the silicon spray on it so I don’t have to worry about getting wind knots

    Also I found out Shimano are bringing out a new ultergra the 17 ultergra was removed from Shimano’s website and there is no info of the new Ultegra coming out...... in Australia that is I found out they are bringing out a Ultegra from a non Australian source that is also how I found out they were bringing out the vanford to

    Should be good can’t wait to see what big guns you can test it on. I wish I could go up to Cooktown again and test the 10lb on pelagics so far it’s been great for me. Ever since I started spraying silicone spray on my line I’ve had zero issues with braid and gliss no wind knots and extra casting distance maybe something you can try. So far for me I give the cast distance 10/10 strength 10/10 overall handling of the line 10/10 haven’t had the fraying problem yet .when I caught the stingray the other day the gliss did suffer a bit of abrasion but didn’t snap which was good cause I was putting a lot of pressure on the stingray. Time will tell the overall performance of the line but so far it’s a 10/10 for me. So far it’s even preformed slightly better then J braid x8 but pretty Similar it terms of performance

    Yeah I wouldn’t even buy a reel at that price point TBH I don’t think it’s worth it . Most mid range reels $270-400 these days especially the ones that are coming out from the 2019 to now period are excellent for their price and preform amazingly. Stradic vanford daiwa BG MQ and daiwa’s new $300 reel can’t remember the name. Should all be good enough for most fishing applications the only reason I think a $1000 reel is justiciable is when it needs excellent water proofing like a van stall or strength Like a Shimano stella SW or a daiwa Saltiga or if you can honestly afford to buy $1000 reels but for me I’ve had no issues with my Stradic and it’s been through a lot and I caught fish I shouldn’t have for it’s small size

    Yeah should be good I find spraying it the reel spool with silicon spray reduces wind knots to even though it doesn’t really wind knot in the first place I’ve just found the line preforms a lot better when I do that I’ve had the same result with braid to. Awesome line so far definitely strong

    Looks like a black bream .yellowfin bream tend to be skinner and a lot more shiny and silver in terms of colour they also generally have very bright fins. Black bream tend to me more fat for their size and they generally have more of a bronze/brown overtone over their silver coloured body the fins on a black bream are usually brown/black/yellow yellowfin bream are usually yellow/black

    I’ve heard a lot of people say that they prefer the vanquish over the Stella FJ if you’re looking around I’m pretty sure the vanquish is one step down the Stella

    Really lol I’ve never used one myself so I can’t comment on it’s basically just like a JDM version of the Stradic FL the 2019/2020 model anyway I don’t really know what the new 2021 models are like

    This is getting crazy shimano brought out 2 new twin powers so their are now 4 different twin powers to buy lol the twin power XD the twin power FD the twin power 21XD the twin power SWXD there is another product release on the 8th of feb so they are props gonna release more reels along with rods and other things

    Really? I thought new stellas would come out every 4 years like stradics do the last stella was the 14 stella then the 18 stella FJ came out I thought the new stella would come out in 2022

    I’m thinking shimano are bringing out a new nasci and sedona just like i theorised as they are 4 years+ old now . Daiwa brought out a bunch of new reels to they seem pretty interesting it also seems they don’t use as much labelling anymore lol daiwa had a label for almost every part of the reel before like for their special line clip and also their added gear support silent oscillation and also their CRBB
