  1. Thanks guys! Apologies as I hadn't seen these replies until just now.
  2. Nice work Hamish - it's good to see at least some fish getting around, especially the prawns. Too bad you didn't have luck regardless of the perfect conditions! You'll get onto one soon I'm sure. Nice report.
  3. Great report! although most were small happy that you managed to get onto some fish. That cod and crab were great!
  4. Thanks for the great report Hamish, and thanks for taking us out Brian. It was a fun afternoon, despite the disappointment of losing those better fish.
  5. I should give these a go as bait at a spot I know where they're always around!
  6. Hi all. Here’s a quick report from this afternoon’s session at Nudgee Beach Set up a bait rod with a simple running sinker rig and soaked some prawns while flicking bream cranks and small plastics in the hopes of getting into a few flatties on the tide change. Managed no fish on lures except for some bream/whiting nibbles but managed a high 20s bream and little flounder on bait. Regardless of being a quiet session we still got a couple and it was a really nice afternoon wading the flats. Will cook up the flounder tomorrow
  7. I noticed this last night. Thanks for the little diagram! Yeah, it’s one of those annoying riveted knobs because it’s one of the “lower” class reels. It’s ridiculous to think that you can’t modify your reel just because it’s not a $1000 Stella or $500 daiwa revelry. I looked up some videos though, i can get around it by carefully drilling through the back end of the rivet and then popping out the handle. I’ll just give it a go and if it doesn’t work I’ll try get a new handle with a different knob. Thanks for the heads up, though.
  8. Sorry, it was just an image. I am looking to change the actual knob, more preferably. I want to change it from one of these sort of T handles to a rectangle type of one, if you get what i mean.
  9. On this topic, I've actually been looking into changing the reel handle on my 2020 model legalis 2500. Does anyone know where or how to get ones that have this sort of handle that will fit my reel? I much prefer this type compared to that of the one on the stock reel. The current handle is like this one and doesn't feel good in my hand.
  10. I use one too, in the 2500 size. Works fine and is still smooth after 1+ years of heavy use. Good value reel.
  11. Hi all, I'm wondering if anyone is looking to sell or give away a 5000-6000 size spinning reel? I've wanted to get one for fishing for threadfin salmon and jewies with livies and/or bigger lures. If anyone is willing to please send me a message and list your price. Thanks!
  12. The forum is always very active. Someone will come along and take up interest with time.
