Couldn't wait till I finished the boat, just had to try it out half done.Got a RDO so of course the weather was crap but I'm mad keen so I went anyway. Wind was so strong it didn't matter were I was I got bounced around like a backwash in a coke bottle. Settled for maclaey Island north west courner on the rocky point. Did manage 3 small squire and 3 reasonable bream. Gezz the bream hit hard. Didn't stay long as I realy only wanted to test how the refit was feeling.

Just bait Dave, I had the flick stick ready but didn't get to it. And yes to the back wash line, but I got 4 kids (12-22yrs) so lines like that are part of real life experience. Backwash in the Coke is not too bad but I do get a pissed at the crunchies in the milk bottle.

Oh well when your keen for a fish, any fish is fun. Only managed to pick up some tiddly whiting and a flathead up the north coast this weekend.
