Beetles

Im assuming by now everybody has noticed the huge swarms of water beetles flying around and making a nuisance of themselves. We had to sweep hundreds of them out of the front of the workshop where I do w/experience.

Im wondering if anybody has cashed in on this once-in-so-often opertunity and put a few on a hook as bait? If they are still around I might give it a go tomorrow. I'm thinking a small hook, sinker and put them under a float to stop them attaching to rocks and such.

I'll be willing to bet bream would go nuts for them, specially if you try them under a light at night.

The answer to this problem is we need to arrange a flight for Bear Grylls to visit the gold coast and eat all the Beetles :woohoo:

Haha, I think I would rather turn the beetles into something more appetising lol. Though I'm sure he would have no qualms eating a few lol...
