Fishing Coolum?

Hey guys im going to coolum for a week over the holidays, just wondering where would be the best place to throw a line in from shore because the beach is usually packed as.

I fished the northern side of the rocky headland a couple of years back. Decent bream plus whiting and dart in the gutters. Bream come on bite around sunset. Good luck.

I like the small bay just south of the rocks at coolum. There is a reasonably safe platform of coffee rock there to launch slugs or baits. Still you must be VERY careful! small slugs and soft plastics work well, or baits that have worked for me there are pipi's, sand worms, and plichards. Good luck!
