Then join the Social Fishing Comps group. Unless I have misunderstood which comps you mean I think you will find the info you want there.

some of the social will have a pot which will be split up between the first 4 places. It is mainly a social the pot is just to put a little edge on the day.

The real comps like like BRC, SOO, Winter Camp, Summer Camp and MBC do have prizes. These normally have three places and about 4 to 5 fish species as categories. Depending on the comp the prizes can range from rods and plastics for first prize. They are a lot of fun and a great way to meet people Sari.

As Ted has mentioned the prizes will simply be a split up of the entry fee for the social comp but it is really up to the organisers how they want to split it. Join up and get along to a few of them and look, listen and learn, then put what you have learnt into action, you will find people might be more willing to answer some of your many questions if they have met you face to face and had a chat to you.
