don't think the Merc will have a variable output alternator, so I'd buy a cheaper VSR for the boat ($50-$100) - this will also be easier to keep away from the elements under a gunwale etc. Thanks for the advice mate i might as well make the most of it and throw it in the patrol might inspire me to do the cape again
-
Thanks mate now the decision in to a patrol that doesn't do much off grid since everyone bought a fourby with covid or into the boat hmmmm decisions lol

I have a 55lb motorguide 54 inch on my renegade It will hold on spot lock in the current at claras rocks but manouvering is a bit slow on it and gave up at peel reefs and anchor as it was like a bloody yo yo when boats went past and it had to correct itself

We stayed at the weipa caravan park and they hire out polycrafts with I think they were 40 to 60 hp fishing spots we found were mostly rocky outcrops and fishing near beacons near the shipping channel for the pelagics

Did the Tele track in 2016 caught Queenies off the beach on the walk to the sign. Seisia jetty mountains of herring under the jetty lots of unstoppables lost more trevally than we caught couldn't get the mackerel past the sharks and had some good fun with some unstoppables Hired a boat at weipa had some great fun on Queenies and trevally and the longtail tuna didn't spook like the moreton bay variety also did a barra charter but we had more fun in the hire boat Also watch for crocs they even visited us out near the tuna schools Trip of a lifetime enjoy

Old tenterfield dart had that style of bib. Plenty of lure makers down that way was looking on lurehub and lure lovers sites couldnt match the color though
-
Looking at the bib I think it might be something from one of the old school lure makers out west maybe an old brolga before smak bought them out
