  1. You probably won’t need to bend over to tie your shoelaces for a while after that arm stretching session, Neil. Great stuff.
  2. Gem bait and tackle. Jacob’s Well bait shop beside the ramp. Not cheap. Allow $40 per session.
  3. Lots of boats prawning between Coochie and Macleay early in the morning , Ray.
  4. I did a post on my installation a few years ago, but can’t find it now. Lots of videos on the net. From me the extras I needed were: battery case (cheap one); 60 amp inline fuse; 2 Anderson plugs; 2 waterproof covers for the Anderson plugs; red and black tinned 15 amp power cable; some waterproof solder joiners; heat shrink tubing; liquid electrical tape. I also bought a MK quick release bracket which I haven’t used (yet). Hope this helps.
  5. That is really interesting vision @Huxstang First time I have seen live scope excel for demo mode. What are those straight vertical lines?
  6. Where are you going to use it and for what purpose? Is it for moving you around freshwater dams where you are not allowed petrol motors? Are you happy to use an anchor wherever you fish? Or are you fishing salt water. If it is salt, I would definitely be looking at a unit with spot lock capability. For me, that is by far the most valuable function and you will regret not having it and start saving for a more expensive motor. Like most things, you get what you pay for. Don’t rush in, really think about what you want out of the motor and then look at which motor suits that need. I have had more than 3 years of trouble free running with my MK and can’t imagine not having it now.
  7. Wet bum and windburn unlucky Ray. Next time.
  8. Emojis are gone now too. Replaced by a question mark.

Ok. I am in. Will be using my usual strategy of blindly tipping all the QLD teams each week. Worked well last year until the Dolphins ran out of puff, the Cowboys decided to underperform and the Titans….. well less said about them the better. Good luck guys.
  10. It was good as always to catch up with Darren and Brian. Especially good to see @ellicat getting another bluey. Shows you you don’t have to be a specialist to land them Sorry Brian, couldn’t resist- you’ve still caught 2 more than me. @kmcrosby78, I was out with a mate in his new rig and the day was more about fine tuning than fishing. We did drop a line near the boys and I got a big stripy, then the SES toads and grinders moved in so we headed home
  11. I disagree with the West End residents saying there was nothing like this in previous floods. I often walk around the river side from West End to Kangaroo Point and last year there were masses of dead fish and some crabs belly up in the river. Having said that, IF there was a chemical spill it would be a worry. I hope the river gets back to being fish able soon but I think I will give it a miss for a week at least.
  12. I have a mix of Marlin and Aldi manual jackets. Both brands comfortable to wear and like Elicat, I always wear one when our solo and always have the kill switch lanyard around my wrist. If others are on board I like to keep the jackets above deck in plain sight. You would be used to putting them on but I recommend people who don’t usually wear them to practice getting them on quickly. It is not as easy as it looks. Also recommend a step and/or a ladder. Depending on people’s age and level of fitness it can be difficult getting back into a tinny without it. Stay safe everyone.
  13. Good report Wobby. Here is why you should attach the kill switch lanyard to your person https://fb.watch/pRCxYlULgx/?mibextid=v7YzmG
  14. Fun day out as usual, @ellicat Always good when a back-up plan works out well.
  15. Well, someone’s been busy! Nice work, Neil. I need to get off my rear end and get on the water in January to help team South. Not that the team needs any help
  16. Good for you @Hweebe I remember being. out fishing with @ellicat one day recently and saying I bet @Hweebewould have a solution. Still be good to get the old process back but good enough for now. Might try a quick report to test the process. I know Brian has been doing all he can to get it happening.
  17. Some great info here @Huxstang @Hweebe and @Junky Batteries always seemed to me to be such a simple thing - until you start to use them for things other than starting the car. I am always looking to learn more about battery choice and care, so thanks boys.
  18. Ring the shop there and ask them for ideas. Wouldn’t be much that happens there without them knowing about it. Very friendly locals at Turkey Beach.
  19. Ripping yarn @benno573 you’ve really got that area nailed! Looking forward to the photos.
  20. Service protocols are the same as the Burke 150. I find the process easy and relatively cheap. Good habit to get into because you don’t want an avoidable failure at a critical time.
  21. I love that we always get a fishing report followed by the breakfast report. Nice stuff @Rebel
