    Leaky bungs

Fixtech fix 190. I'd replace the lot Steve and also use blind aluminium rivets. I think the centre pull is titanium. I have some if you want some. That'll stop you spending another six months in a leaky boat, lucky just to keep afloat.
  2. There is definitely a croc in maaroom creek just south of Hervey Bay. Parks and wildlife are onto that one. Not sure whether they're going to relocate it or not though.
  3. I'm going with female. My wife can drive down the road and forget where she is. Then she doesn't know where she's going and will end up miles from where she's supposed to be. Reckon this crocs done the same.. Women are great listeners though.
  4. Yep. They're fair dinkum critters those crocs. I find I get super spidey sensors when I head north. Not so much in the boat but wandering the creeks and shorelines etc, even on beaches if the water is murky. Those bloody things can be anywhere anytime, like RBT's.
  5. It has been funny weather and the reason may be because of the recent Tongan volcano. Could be the reason this fella is wandering south.
  6. Just had this alert come in. Croc sighting. He's a fair way from home.
  7. Marinate for 24hrs in a pot with a pair of gumboots. Remove contents and throw bream away. Cook gumboots and enjoy. Seriously though. Real butter (the stuff wrapped in paper) and crushed garlic if you can't be bothered to chop fresh garlic. Salt when served. It is bream though. That's why I posted that nonsense above. Id also remove the skin. Fillet with scales on. Makes it easy to remove the skin.

    polish

Septone "Ali brite". Get it all looking clean and then give it 2 coats of "penetrol". Stay shiny for years.
  9. Good write up Bob. Sharks are always a by catch for me. Can't say I target them, more so they target my reefies. I don't eat seafood from shops very often, however, if I do, I ask for flake every time. Rainbow Beach fish and chips next to IGA sells it. Says it's locally caught... Haha. I get some strange looks at times. Most youngens think I'm ordering a deep fried chocolate bar.
  10. Time to get a bigger net FC. Love your vids mate.
  11. Welcome Stew. Love the donk mate. That tub would get along nicely. You a Northspider or Southsider?
  12. Good on ya Hamish. Good to see you not give up. You have to keep at it. I do hope you payed close attention to what your local friend was doing and the rigs he was using. P.s. I scrolled for pics first and when I saw the jack, I thought it was yours. I reckon I was more bummed than you were to find out it was his...
  13. I heard he wanted to kill Patrick. Poor Patrick. He'd be a hard bloke to mourn ay?
  14. Yeah, he seems to have clammed up. Either that or he's being really shellfish and ignoring us.
  15. Fingers......and a shovel. It's a 2 person job but you get about 10cm of every worm.
  16. The best thing about crabing is catching crabs for everyone else. It's so much fun..... Not. Sit with your pots mate. There are so many scabs out there now.

    Boat Flooring

Before you fit whatever you use, wet it thoroughly, put on a pair of thongs, then attempt the moonwalk while drunk. If you manage to stay upright then you shouldn't need to cover it in carpet or non stick material.
  18. A big meccano set. Currently putting it together... How's that moon?
  19. Swann have WiFi HD cameras. You could have a camera on your pontoon. The data recording box is still located in the house, so even if they steal the cam, you'll still have the hard footage of them doing it. It will also notify you on your phone that it's picked up activity and give you a live feed. We have the hard wired units and rate them 10 out of 10.
  20. I just remembered I forgot about this thread. I screenshot that pic of both the fish and show people at times but I forgot to check back in. Damn, they were older than I thought.
  21. Nice fingermark Andrew. Bloody sharks, they always take the best bits. I'm betting it's either a white tip, or a bull shark on the DNA results. And the fish is 18yrs old.
  22. Great session. What are those tall poles in the water used for? They look like FPV gates, almost.
  23. Can't blame the bass for wanting to move up there. Sure is a beautiful spot...
