  1. That 1st bass is a tank! Awesome fish
  2. I clocked ocean beach camp at 9km from bulcock beach on Google Earth. Assuming you can cross to south bribie, who wants to go for a walk?
  3. Hi all Was wondering if anybody here is a member of Warner recreational fishing club ( north bris. ) Or has any contact info for said club?
  4. Looks like you could load it up with gear as well, nice score

Tigers having a crack tonight! Where's this been?
  6. To baroon? Good luck Charlie! Let us know how you go, I'm hoping to get up there either next weekend or following weekend
  7. Been thinking bout going for a paddle up there, which side would you recommend launching for best access to fish from kayak?
  8. Also whilst I'm bothering you, 123 bass on shrimp is phenomenal, I'd be impressed bringing in that many shrimp! I've been struggling all year to get shrimp around Forgan side, rarely double digits. Tried different baits, water levels and proximity to weed and lillypads. Wondering if it's the moving water or the old river bed system they thrive in?
  9. Did you get rained on? I see your sounder temp 17.8 does it ever get too cold they shut down and stop eating?
  10. That lil rod is a beauty
  11. Hi doughnuts and welcome Must be contagious that bug, I get it as well!

Got my fingers crossed for the tigers this weekend..... Reckon theyre a good chance to get those 2 points.
  13. Hi Pete Yeah mate I feed the fish there with my kids roughly every fortnight mainly because it's close to home, they can sit there all day chasing kangaroos, crabs and undersized bream. Unfortunately deep water bend is a victim of its location. It gets a lot of pressure and gets very busy. We occasionally catch fish eating size, maybe 1 out of 4 trips being generous. BUT I've caught legal flathead, trevally, prawns, javelin, bream and flounder. I've seen sea turtles and a species of small sea horse/dragon I've never seen anywhere else. I've never had a favourite tide but find sunrise gets the fish biting. I've wasted hours fishing pre dawn for not a bite. Fresh bait works best, I castnet prawns, mullet and herring. So Its not my 1st choice spot if I'm looking for a feed, but you never never know unless you have a go! Good luck and post some pics if you get anything decent.
  14. I went for a wander out there this afternoon, pig tracks everywhere along the banks. Think they must be eating the bass because all I caught were catfish.
  15. Id be okay with a wet bum for quality fish like that! Good work Ray and Hai! I'm hoping to get a few from the bank this weekend, is it still long grass or has water level dropped a bit?
  16. Bugger. Wonder what the logic behind that is ? The net I can understand. But is a bow rated a more potentially dangerous weapon because of its range compared to a Hawaiian sling style spear or spear gun, which are both legal to use 2mins down the road in the salt. Also you can buy bows from BCF at the moment
  17. I've got the foamy strap portable roof racks. My pelican blackhawk is 3.6m and I strip it down as light as I can go. Permanent roof racks would be better suited, I can hear my roof panel flex goin over speed bumps. Still though where there's a will there's a way!
  18. Fear not! Come join me in the very exclusive hatchback kayak club! (Otherwise known as the missus needs the 4x4 for the kids club)
  19. Ha ! I made a point to sit down and watch this 1 closely, going nicely so far.
  20. Ray have ever seen any near Npd? Ive seen 1 from kayak in bush near power lines towards sailing club area, maybe 2 years ago, but only about 4-5km as crow flies from my door step.
  21. Was looking at some tilapia in a knee deep creek across road from me. Got me thinking I could nail them with sling shot or bow like that....
  22. That's awesome work Bob good to see you back on the fish.
