Hey guys im heading to SEQ on a family holiday from Cairns in may and will be spending a few days on straddie Isl. Pretty keen to wet a line. Any advice on the island would be great. Will just have as smaller outfit for flicking plastics.

Pretty much any where you can access the bank on the western side is worth flicking around. Dunwich and Amity Pt are good places. Also the rocky head lands produce dart, bream and juvenile reefies for the light tackle fisherman.

Mate as Damo said please use the search function. I do a few reports from there a year  and I often use light spin.

I am not to secret with spots or anything as it is all pretty obvious once you are there
