    Can’t believe it. Just finished organising a trip out in the bay tomorrow because the forecast was great and just checked now and it’s changed. What are 10 to 15 knots south to south-westerlies going to do to the bay? Do you think it’s worth still going?

    If you didn't pay too much for the ones you have it might be worth buying the ones Hweebe is suggesting, which don’t require drilling into the hull. I think they would work perfectly on my hull which has the last foot or so recessed higher and out of the wake drag. There are even fairly large hooks under there for securing the boat to the trailer.

    At the time of purchase I saw Shimano on the reel in one of the photos but can’t find it again. Looking at the reviews, one of the first reviews that pops up includes three photos of the delivered reel, with a Shimano sticker on it. Another review states it took quite some time to ship.

    Well, it doesn’t. And that’s the worry but I decided to take the risk. If it works out everyone on here can get themselves a super cheap Stradic.

    I had a 20 ft Mustang a while ago which was ten plus years old. Was driving through a bit of rough stuff and the drivers seat suddenly gave way. Very scary and dangerous. Make sure any seating is well bolted down!

    Seeing as how I can’t catch any fish ( which I suspect has at least something to do with having only taken the boat out four times in the last four months) I thought I would post a couple of photos of some of the fish my nephew catch’s up at Mackay. I think I might tow the boat up there this Christmas holidays when we visit the rellies for our annual pilgrimage. Any thoughts on stone guards for the trailer?
