  2. I'm guessing so, heard the sames happening in Hervey bay and also the top of bribie has washed away.
  3. Took myself and 5 junior fisherman, all under 7, to deep water bend for a spot of fishing this morning. Long story short if undersized bream were our target we nailed it! (Reason this is in outdoors and not saltwater fishing). Anyway what made it memorable was seeing how high the king tides came in, just kept getting higher, we baled before the main road was unpassable. Thought I'd share couple of pics. 1st pic was exit of boat ramp, 2nd is before Bruce highway over pass.
  4. Throw the question out to young and old,Is it worth throwing yabby pots in npd yet or maybe give it a few weeks? I live near young's crossing and it was spilling again today so red claw gotta be bulking up.
  5. Live shrimp are the go for bass bait, if you can't get those I use/buy live earthworms, nightcrawlers I think, from tackle world lawnton. From kayak I use a bait line and lure line, zerek or ecooda shrimp are my faves. P.s. I've had too many good weather days on somerset made unfishable due to wakeboat and jetskis churning it up, in saying that though it is a shared waterway and they've got as much right as me to do what they do. I'm sure there's some spots to the north of dam they don't go to so maybe check that out before launching kayak. Or just go npd. Better fishing! Good luck either way
  6. Solid days fishing in terrible conditions. Shame about the scumbags.

  12. Well I've spent many hours catching many quality (undersized) bream near there so something's working!
  13. There's a spot in the pumice stone passage known as the ripples, there's a buoy marked 'shellfish restoration device' or similar. Is that what's going on there as well?
  14. https://youtu.be/DH16HbgHikM hey drop bear have a look. I've never seen an Aussie do it, I wouldn't, and would not recommend any1 do it.
