Pine River

[Fosh n Chops]

G;day folks,

I'm thinkin of wetting a line at the pine river at the crack of dawn in the morning, can anyone provide me with a few landbased spots I can try out. I'll be fishing with bait (probably prawns) and will be getting the SP's out as well..

Well the main spots you got are dohles rocks, deep water bend and the hornibrook bridge

hey there dude!dunno if you will get this msg before ya wet a line in the pine but give the bruce highway bridge near bald hills ago if ya headin north bound pullof and park justbefor ya go over the bridge walk down the side and fish under or either side prawns will work and same plastics but live baits best . cheers and best of luck

Not sure if it's strictly legal to park along there......came thru a couple of weeks ago and the police were walking along there looking at the cars parked in the breakdown bay.

Dunno if they were handing out tickets or what........

Its not legal to stop there. Whether you get a ticket or not depends on whom ever is manning the traffic control centre and whether they can be bothered ringing the cops to come. (Its all on CCTV)

Their always seems to be a few cars parked their when i go past, I think ive seen cops their once or twice.

They mostly turn a blind eye out of peak hours, but dont forget its in the tow away zone!

i was wondering isnt it too soon from the rain for salt water to be back in the rivers again?
