Snapper fishing

hi all! im about to try my hand at some snapper fishing. but i dont know where to start. i live in Beachmere. and im hopeing, that there are some spots i can try that are not to far. can someone help me out with some spot please? thanks

hey mate they reckon they get a fair few snapper at bribie but im not sure about the size it mite pay to go and talk to the tacklesop owner over there also over here in redcliffe and mud island

Are you in a boat? or landbased

some legal fish around the bribie bridge, but you need a boat or kayak though

Definately around the bridge, or at the mouth of pacific harbour, on the northern side it drops off quite quick not far from the bank, ive heard of snapper there in good numbers during winter, maybe a surf rod landbased there if you havnt got a boat

thanks guys! i do have a boat, but its just a 400 hornt wide body. i have not been out in the bay yet. as i dont know how it would go. i have dune lots of fresh fishing down south. but the bay is a holl new thing for me.

There's a beacon a couple hundred metres off the beach on the surf side of Bribie that's a pretty solid performer and easy to get to.

can find some squire in the areas the guys have said - I like the bridge myself

if you going to venture out of the passage pick your days and tides - can get pretty hairy

very quickly when the weather comes in!

try bongeree jetty i have got loads of squire of the in the summer but have not been there since then so do not know how it is at the moment
