im still a noob when it comes to saltwater gear so could someone please enlighten me?

7' Boat rod vs 5'6" Stand Up rod

what different applications would they be used for?

why would someone pick one over the other?

also... i noticed that quite a number of boat rods dont list a line weight range, but instead just a "sinker weight"

so for a 7ft boat rod rated "Heavy" and "sinker weight" of 300gm

what is the rough line weight range that its designed to take? 10-15kg?

So are you looking to buy one of these rods, if so, what type of fishing will you be doing mainly?
