Quick Pre Dusk Fish.

Took my neighbour for a land based Woods Bay fish Sunday arvo. 

I usually avoid weekend fishing due to the "crowds" and there were a few out, both land and boat.

We got there just before 4 and things were pretty quiet and still. 

There were about five boats hanging around and figured they were locals and or knew each other as the banter began to flow as the fish began to be boated or bitten off. 

So we enviously continued blind casting in the hope of finding some hookups.

Eventually a few hits at our lures resulted in some misses until I set mine into something I thought was rather large on my light gear.

After a patient fight I landed this 45cm tailor.

He had been pinned beside his mouth and they separated as soon as he was beached !

Threw him back in to chases others in vain.

Hopefully more fun to be had Tuesday morning....
