    I had a bit of a ping yesterday and we got some nice fish. Flathead for dinner was delicious.

    I am on the Southside. I think this is more about a fun thing to get people out fishing and see their catches and have a bit of fun banter etc... so I'm fully in favour of letting the hapless northsiders cheat a bit and get the extension Like the cricket, its a lot more fun if it is a close race.... (I don't really mean that about the cricket.. smash the poms)

    South. Not sure it the bigger flathead counts, I didn't have a ruler big enough. You can get a bit of an idea from the net handle, all good if it doesn't count. I didn't keep the big one but it was around the 70cm mark.

    Yep same advice as KM. pretty much everywhere has muddies. We used to get them off the rock wall near toowong. Not a special place or anything. Post up some pics of your trip

    /Not a solicitor so please don't take this as fact but if they have falsely advertised then I would think they should give you back your deposit. Is it from a dealer or private sale?

    Yep catties are great. Try them with Vietnamese spices or in a Vietnamese soup. They are a very underrated fish here in Aust. Steamed in seseme oil, soy, shallots is great too. Watch the big spikes they can be nasty. They can make great curry as well. Try thai green curry style with heaps of fresh herbs and lime leaves.

    They run big fly bridges at 12 - 14 knots... I think I am getting the cheap deal
