  3. If you want to put a 75hp in a 4.1 I don't think so. If you want the fun of the build go buy some stainless steel plate get it bent up and weld it together and go from there

Also try pushing the outer plastic covering into the hole further so that you are blocking the hole. Hope this helps Ken

Hi Emma you mite get a little bit of water through there but to get 160 litres of water through that fitting you would have to have the back of your boat under water. Check the drain bung and the seal.

Didn't get a pic but they were about 100mm long. Round shape with a long fin on top and bottom. Fish was silver and the fins went to yellow with black tips on them ..Mate reckons they were a fairy fish Think he's the fairy

  17. A cheap and easy way I got to store some of my rods is stick a pool noodle to the wall in the corner of the garage. Cut some slots in it and theres your $2 rod holder. Put a piece if timber on the ground to keep the butt of the concrete

    Hairtail

I caught it in the broadwater half way between soveriegn island and tipplers. He was about 80cm long and was as silver as silver. Had a big redish brown fin down the full length of his body and I couldnt get my hand around him he was that fat. Took a pic of him in the water but not clear. He put up a good fight.
  20. Now be fair. We need to see what he had. Mite of been a 10 foot shark.........Or may be a sardine
  21. Yep good to be conservative but sometimes you just have to go and have a look. But as ive found they do get it wrong both ways.
  22. Caught a Hairtail last week for the first time. What a funny looking fish. He proberly thought that about me as well when i tried to grab him and he turned and tried to bite me. He had the hook well down him so i cut him off and let him go. I read that they are good eating. Has anyone eaten one? If so how do you clean them. Do you fillet them ? They look more like you would cut them into steaks.
  23. Hoping to go for a fish on Tuesday.Checking weather BOM says north westerlies in the morning then south easterlies in the arvo.. Seabreeze says south easterlies all day. If its westerlies ill go the seaway other wise go further up the broadwater. Happened to me last week . Put the boat in at Jabiru for the broadwater and it was a great day.. Could of gone outside.

  25. Hi Kat The tide at coombabah is about 11/2 hours behind the seaway. Where abouts are you fishing at Coombabah? I live there and have never had a lot of problems with snags.
