Got an E-mail from club marine giving minor flood warnings for Sunday and Monday.

Just finished watching a you tube seminar with Dougie Burt. He said all the dirty water is on the top and all the fish sit on the bottom in the clean water. But that is off shore. Be a bit differant in only a couple of metres of water in a river or creek. Also the fresh water is definitely on the top. My dogs go in the creek at the back which is a run of of the Coombabah and drink the water after the rain. But it mite be salt and send's them silly. That's why they don't do as their told.

I also received an E-mail Deleted it.

Get on to a school of pike and they can be good fun. There savage and keep going and going at the bait. Had them bite thru 20lb leader. Make top bait but also very nice to eat.

I have a Raymarine dragonfly pro and have left it turned on deliberately for a couple of days to managed the voltage drop. Still works ok .I think .But haven't seen any good fish lately. Maybe it is broken.....

Hey Marty were them fish caught at the pinnacles? We usually fish there but was so good went to Mermaid. Came back to the pinnacles about 10.00 and there was a big school of bait fish busting up but no good .Came back to the seaway for the turn of the tide and still no good. So went to the back of wavebreak and had a beer. I was driving the boat back from Mermaid and my mate was sitting faceing the back of the boat and tapped me on the shoulder and i stopped. These 2 jets came up behind us then over us then gone in about 4 seconds. Just as I put the throttle down to take off again there was a big BOOM. I thought oh s##t I've blown up the motor. But it was from the jets. Never know what you'll see out there.

I went out thru the Seaway as well on Tuesday. Headed down to Mermaid. Was lots of fish busting up but only seen 2 spotties landed out of 20 plus boats. I got 2 shovelnoses and some under size fish. Mite follow you next time. Was great conditions tho. PS Did you see the 2 fighter jets come up the coast about 9.30am

I'd be happy to pay for a license if it went to the right causes but like everything all good in theory. But the A-holes who don't give an F and take every thing and anything would'nt buy a license.

I bought a bait jig from Big W a few weeks ago. Cost $3 for a pack of 2 Doesn"t get tangled up like the ones from BCF that cost 3 times as much..And I caught yakkas and biddys on it plus a heap of minature flat head which I threw back

I like watching you tube vids there more natural and not commercial like tv.. Mad Mullet and Sammy Hinzke can be good but I"m starting to like Will Kitching. He shows a lot of stuff of the goldie which is local to me .Also tight lines He fishes the Broadwater.He's vids can be a bit slow but he produces the goods and gives some good tips, ( Like tuna cat food for burly LOL worked for me )

It did sound like a comedy skit but treat any infections serious. I recently spent 15 days in hospital with an infected shoulder. Had it cut open and cleaned out then 6 weeks on intravionis antibiotics. The infection I had was caused by a shoulder replacement I had 10 months earlier. But while in hospital I heard that marine infections can be horrible. Please every body treat any infection serious if it gets in your blood you can be dead in a few hours. Now on a happier note I'm going to cook a mangrove jack for dinner that my mate gave me

Nice looking boat. When you say the broadwater do you mean the seaway or else where. In the sea way I use a patternoster rig with pilchard and squid. Plus I have another set up with a 2 hook rig with a light sinker and put on a live yakka or pilchard if I don't have one. If you go offshore keep going to your in 40 metres of water and sound along there till you find some reefs or schools of bait fish and drift over that. You'll have days when you don't get a bite then you'll have a top day that will make up for it. Even on days when I get nothing it's still a good day sitting out there. Love it.

Just like boiling them in a big pot with lots of veggies and a rock..Throw out the carp and eat the rock with a serve of veggies.. Bewuuuutifulll

The seaway is like a lucky dip. There's all sorts of things in there. I heard of a whale coming in there a few years ago. I fish the pipe line in my boat. That runs across the seaway about where the tower is .There's a sign saying where it is. If you can get live bait is best but a whole pilchard as far out as you can get is worth a try. I find one hour before and after tide change is best. And like Drop Bear says the current can be pretty ferocious. I wouldn't be going out to the end this week end tho. Mite get washed away. Another option is the sand pumping jetty. Cost about $5

Hi Charlie Certainly some nice fish and a nice looking boat. I'm looking at getting a bigger boat and the TABS were recommended to me. How do you like it?
