queensland Goldy Canal Fishing this weekend...

Hey Boys,

Im back off down the coast this weekend to stay at my girlfriends parents unit right on the canals infront of chevron island just up from the council chambers.. Have had good sucess with lizards and bream in the canals on lures but would really love to get amongst some of the top water sport fish like Tarpon and Trev's etc.. Where is the best place to go looking for them? (spots please) And also when seeking them out do you just cruise round looking for surface action or birds or are there likely places? Cause all other times I have taken my tak out down there around the council chambers etc I haven't seen anything like that.. I have everything to throw at them from an epic SX range, chubbies, poppers, mask vibes, atomic hardz and shads including every plastic to match.. Can people in the know on the Goldy give me a steer in the right direction??? Cough Bretto Cough...
