crabbing in the logan?

i've never tried crabbing upstream in the logan river, up past beenleigh, does anyone know if it would be worth a go or waste of time, maybie too fresh

I used to crab around Bethania and waterford, didn't do to bad. We always caught a legal one or two. Don't how it is now but, its been about ten years.

i used to live near alexandera clark park and used to put the boat in at tansey park boat ramp 3 day before christams and we used to get a feed very easally, and could swap and change the crab for fuller ones. it can be hit and miss as it is influenced by the fresh after to much rain.

i use to us shark and tuna in that area and went very well.

Can be lucky at times.....but usually needs a longer soak. Catfish and Mullet are good baits and put a small sponge soaked in tuna oil in with the frames. Keep in mind anywhere past the freeway bridge is pretty fresh so any rain will move the crabs down stream. The deeper holes are still producing the odd crab at the moment....but most have gone to ground with the cold weather. Good luck...have fun.

thanks guys, i might give it a go after the rain goes, there is a fair bit of loose branches and things in there at the moment
