Time to put our heads together

Hi all,

I was mulling an idea over in my head whilst in the air coming back from Sydney. Wanted to see everyones thoughts on it.....

We all look at the BoM, Seabreeze, Willy Weather etc to plan our fishing and I know many times I don't head out because of the forecast wind only to find out from others it has been a great day - I end up doing the lawns instead!

So simple idea - there will be some of us who head out when some of us think things may be less than ideal.

So why don't we tell eachother what is happening?

The crux of this idea is to get AFO to set up some social media portal (twitter etc) so people on the water can post the conditions up for those who are looking at going fishing.

The bay could be divided up into a number of regions and people in those regions could just do a short tweet, SMS, message etc to a central site and share things with others. If we keep it at regions no one has to give away spot x etc.

Something like:

Mud Island

Peel Island

4 Beacons

Northern Bay

South Passge Bar

Coohci

You get the picture. So looking for feedback on this and wanting to see if there is enough interest to do something about it.

I have always liked that idea, I look over the bay and recon a Camera and weather station on my roof would be a great tool for AFO to have.

good idea forsure . my way of thinking is if it looks good go you can allways turn back . but any xtra info has gotta be a big bonus
