Thanks Ray!!!  I thought you'd be interested to find out.  Already been making the most of it.  Went out this morning and this afternoon.  Didn't get many but was great to explore a few new creeks at my own leisure.

I think they will have a lot more time up their sleeves now they will not have to be running me around to all these spots!  Haha they don't have to worry about me asking for their keys as I now have my own!  A few years back when my sister got her licence they gave in to her insistent persuasion about why she needed a car... it meant that I didn't have to do much to get one as the precedent had been set

I had a spare car when my first sone got his licence, but he only got an auto licence, so he had to buy his own. Second son now has licence, spare car was still there, he didnt make the same mistake

Haha yeah exactly.  Dad wants my car now though as it's comfier and bigger than his.  Too late 

That's a smart move from your second son.  I bet your other son was jealous that he didn't have to buy his own!

James what car have you got:. My first car was a 1926 whippet only had brakes on 2 wheels ( Standard) cost me 25 pounds ( 1 months wages)

Wow just had a look at your first car @rayke1938 and it looks so cool!  I guess you were towing the boat and putting the kayak on top of that one.  Probably wouldn't have come with the standard safety features of todays cars though .  The one I got is a 2011 Subaru Forester.  It's only done 40 000km and was previously owned by a government department up north so hasn't done a huge amount of driving.  Very happy with it and it should last me a long time.
