Anyone Sunny Coast & Want To Fish?

Gidday I'm new around here :)

I've recently moved to the sunny coast (Coolum) from the UK (originally a kiwi) who loves to fish in my mid 30's. Currently fish most days around twin waters/mouth of maroochy and a bit of gutter fishing on the open beaches when the surf allows, as I only have a 7ft 4kg rod at the moment but hey,  I like light tackle :fishing: 

I'm very new to fresh water fishin' but want to give it a thrash as had some good spots to try by a local for bass.

Currently I'm free to fish during the week and the odd weekend. If anyone else lives nearby and would like a mate to fish with that would be awesome, happy to travel a bit too. 

Would appreciate any spots to try as well!
