Live bait

Hey guys, bought myself a little prawn catcher thing at bigw today. I went down the deep water bend (I think thats what it is called) and thru it in off the little jetty there with no results. I put in some burley pellets. Anyone got any tips on where, when and how is the best way to use it?

I have caught a few prawns in a trap using left over chicken bones in the river

are they the rectangular pop out ones or the opera house ones? but yeh greasy chicken or even a pilly should do the trick.. try under mangorves or some structure.
