Some of you may remember that a couple of months ago I put up about a post on Fishntales of Hervey bay where Hairymick was building a yak out of marine ply.

Well he has finally finished it and what a beautiful work of art it is.

I have met Mick a couple of times and have seen his creations in the flesh and let me tell you that he is a master craftsman and a great guy as well. His attention to detail is amazing and I would love to put one of his boats into my garage.

I asked him how long this last one took and he said about 100 hours. I wish I had that kind of patience.
