  1. Could have it been the switch on the throttle that turns off the motor if you fall over or overboard (kill switch I think it is called)
  2. Does anyone know if the site https://livefish.com.au/ is trustworthy and safe to order from. Cheers Dan

    A Big MILF

Didn't know what to expect from the title

    Whales

When i was in the Whitsundays a mother whale and a calf came up to the boat and the mother started tail slapping right at the boat. these whales could have been protecting their young and the boat is just in the wrong place at the wrong time.
  5. 112cm per turn I think My mate who works there also got me this reel cover to go with it
  6. 112, but as said above it’s just the angle of the photo
  7. Finally got around to buying the reel I was talking about in a post a while ago, getting it spooled tomorrow with 300-400 metres of 57ib braid.
  8. Another good reel you should have a look at is the Shimano Twin Power, if you haven't already.
  9. I can recommend kayaks 2 fish, they have a large range the are very stable and have lots of space in the back.
  10. Sounds like fun, i use to live in Arlie Beach, great area out there all the way to Mackay, all of the small reefs will hold big gt if thats the sought of fishing your into, just be careful of the sharks, had them chase fish all the way to the boat.
  11. First reason why i fish, For the adrenaline rush, there's only one thing that i have found that is close to the adrenaline rush from the first tuna of the day. Second reason: i can just forget about everything and zoneout in the peace and quiet.
  12. Hi all, Probably did not need to make a new topic but might as well. i have decided to go with the 10000 size over the 8000 and was wondering if this is an adequate rod for it ( im going to spool it with 65 Pound Braid) https://www.anacondastores.com/fishing/fishing-rods/spinning-rods/wilson-live-fibre-6-20kg-6-6-spin-rod/90171702 Cheers Daniel
  13. Yes casting for tuna, thanks for the advice, ill have a look at rods to match.
  14. Hi, i've been thinking of getting a heavy spin reel and rod have i have saved up quite a bit from working and have both a light and medium rod and reel, i have been looking at the Shimano Saragosa SW A 8000 HG Spin Reel and the Shimano Stradic SW 10000HG Spinning Reel, both have good reviews and are a decent price. They would be used for tuna, jigging and other types of fishing like that, i would just like to know what rod i should pair it with and if the 10000 is a bit overkill for out in Moreton bay and the surrounding areas. All comments welcome. Cheers Daniel
  15. Don't want to be rude or anything but you seem to have a lot of cash to spend on fishing for someone of your age.
  16. $300 is a bit excessive for big flatties, but you are really after a good set up i would go with the Shimano Sedona 3000 and for the rod the Shimano raider flathead it has a great tip for casting and comes in multiple sizes. paired with 20 pound braid.
  17. Don't quote me on this but i believe they are like barra, where when they get to a certain size they change genders, and i also think that when they get larger they produce more eggs and more often. this means that the slot limits will help a lot in protecting the larger breeding ones, as they small ones can breed from quite early on, around 20 - 30 cms
  18. I think the one you have got there might be a JEWvenile. lol
  19. What lures do you normally throw because i've only ever caught them on worms and shrimp?
  20. shame he passed away, he had good plans for that boat i reckon. hopefully it finds a good home and it can be finished.
  21. I was just wondering if anyone knows how the new badge and ranking system works?
