hey anyone got tips for jew fishin.wat sort of bottom do you look for deepest part? rough bottom? thy like live bates right mullet good? sqid good 2?

The surf fishermen at Straddy use whole live beach worms in a gutter at night on a full moon. Thats about as much info as you can pry from them with a couple of beers

some people will only do it after a big rain.

any big holes you find are a great start or a random big of structure in the middle of no where.

Use whole squid or mullet and you want to fish pretty heavy because they will run you to the bottom every time, you need to be able to pull them out pretty hard right from the start.

i have heard of them being caught at the mouth of brekky creek. other than that i would say your best bet will be the logan river / beach fishing.

Jew fish tips ......emmmmmmm

Comfy boat, good cold weather gear, live mullet bait, mullet burley, plenty of F&B supplies, maybe a mate, open river mouth like the pin, patience to burn and lot's of luck.

or

Live prawns, outgoing tide, Tweed River near full moon.

i have heard of the method- that jew will sit in the current and wait for food..and in the slack time of the tide they move to hunt...sort of makes sense..lazy buggers:P
