Pine river prawns

I've only been on this site a couple of days but have found so much great info already. Im thinking of going after some prawns in the pine river but dont really know a lot about it so im just wondering what is the best time of year to chase them or are they around most of the year.

for prawns in the rivers the best time is runout tide on a fullmoon night

best time for big banana prawns in the pine is from march to may;)

you r right its after the rain in say march and they go into the creeks to feed they then go out to the foreshore of the bay to breed

just look for the yellow raincoats and pants;)

dunno bout the pine

but briss river and creeks off it

mid december to march i found pretty good

also make sure u use a castnet with a 'top pocket'

that way you'll loose less prawns

12foot are better i reckon bigger spread

sink faster also:)
