queensland Boggy cast net fish

Well I met a mate out at Boggy creek yesterday for a landbased session fishin livies and throwing HB's around.

Was a very quiet day and as usual I fell into my usual lapse of fish stories and in particular the story of my 65cm flathead and also my much loved "one that got away flathead".This was when I once caught a large flathead (around 60cm) in the castnet at boggy creek only to lose it on lifting it out of the water.

Well I was wondering if my fishin buddy wasn't starting to think I was full of it as we where hardly losing a bait.

Then low and behold he was casting for live bait and pulled up a 65cm flattie in the net !!

3 people and 5 baited rods out and 1 lure and the biggest fish of the day was sitting at out feet.
