trim wont work

Hi just wondering if anyone can give me some advice. Went to go and flush the outboard as it has been sitting around for a month. Went to go and trim it down, it made the noise it makes when it does trim, but nothing, outboard doesnt trim up or down? Its a yamaha 70hp 2 stroke.

sounds like it may have taken in water or is low on fluid?

check the fluid!

can be topped up with std atf!

Would the rams be moving up and down but the motor joint is seized in the up position?

Did you store the engine with it trimmed right up or down?
