as myself and the mrs havent gone fishing yet since touching down in brissy and i unpacked the fishing gear today, i was going to try drag her out for afew hours only i have no local knowledge whatsoever

we are only running 4lbs braid and 1-3 and 2-4kg rods on 1000 size reels we were looking to possibly throw some plastics around or if theres no big toothy things around some hard bodys as well, dont have any headlamps at the moment so would prefer to have at least some level of ambiant light would be happy to fight afew bream, flathead or even whiteing and runt trevally we are catch and release

would be fantastic if you could pm me if you had any decent suggestions

Head over to Scarborough and work your way along the foreshore. Will find plenty of suitable areas. There are a few jetties to explore as well.

Yep, the rockwall at Scarborough - just near the marina is worth a shot. You can also walk out along the Spit at low tide.

if you dont mind a bit of walking you can fish the channel at the mouth of burpengary creek. always a few flathead there
