Jigheads - Hws vs Normal

[Scope]

G'day all, need some more jigheads. Have only ever used TT tournament ones, however never the hidden weight system.

Just wondering what they're like and weather they (hws) have any advantages or disadvantages over the traditional style jigheads.

One of the first jig-heads I bought was the hidden weight system.

The idea is that the lighter plastic can suspend in the 'strike zone'.

So ok I guess for flicking around structure.

As far as normal retrieve and flick methods I can't see any advantage over the standards.

But they would work, as long as you had the needed overall weight.

I have some medium sized ones and some ridiculously small/light ones.

i find that when they're dropping through the water you get a more natural action, rather than head first, it falls horizontily.

yea they fall more natural and suspend alittle better iv only ever used them with ultra light sizes/gear for spooky black bream

on the subject of jigheads i want to try some weedless ones never caught a fish on weedless rigs before

They are also a lot better for casting in against boat hulls as they are less likely to chip the gelcoat with dodgy casts :blush:
