Any luck at Woody Point

Has anyone been fishing around woody point and had any luck am going there friday and am going to have a pillie cast out and also maybe a hardyhead or herring on the other rod and might have my first go at crabbing with a hoop dilly to

boat or land based? went there for afew mins the other night just pike and the odd tailor around off the jetty anyway if i had of had a reel for my larger rod i would have thrown one of the pike out live and waited around for an hour or two

probably going off the jetty am taking my bigger rod to throw out some pillies or pike what did u catch the pike on

seemed to go nuts for 3 and 4 inch bass minnows

funny the they lasted 4 or so fish as well great soft plastic

i use a suspending megabait lure for the pike down there, not much around unless you get lucky and there are a couple of tailor come thru, dunno if the squid have come back in good numbers yet as they went quiet about 2 weeks ago

Went down for three and a half hours last friday night for some squid, picked up 3 monsters and one reasonable sized in an hour, around the top of high tide.

mrs and i went here today not off the jetty though, we only managed some large pike and i had medium sized squid aggressivly attacking my lures spewing i diddent bring the squid jigs down

Woody Point was woeful to say the least i caught one pike and two garfish there was almost no bites and it looked like the only people there that caught anything was a castnetter who bagged about 6 or 7 big mullet but i reckon a couple of them had some massive castnets not sure if it they were under 12ft

the mrs and i went down there for a quick flick and a afew beers tonight, no fish! noone caught anything but i managed to land 2 squid which turned out well as salt n pepper crumbed squid!!!
