Brisbane River Water Quality

Just a heads up for those that didn't read the courier mail this morning. The important part imo,

"The results show faecal (sewage) pollution up to 370 times higher than the level the State Government considers typical for the river.

The pollution was 48 times higher than national guidelines for "secondary" recreational activities that don't usually involve full contact with water, such as rowing and fishing."

That doesn't sound very good so if you have to fish, as we just have to do sometimes then some precautions might be a good idea. Cover any cuts or sores you have before you go and wash everything down including yourself extra well when you return. Take extra water to wash your hands rather than doing it over the side.
