Cost of Straddie ferry with kayak ?

Hey guys,

does anyone know how much they charge you for the ferry over to straddie if you take a kayak with you ? just the 1 person rate, or two persons to account for the space taken up by the kayak ? Or charge for a car??:ohmy:

Thinking of heading over for a day trip across easter as i've always wanted to do some fishing in the yak over there......

Mate the cost is $30 return with the kayak but it depends who's on as one of the blokes is a keen fisho and if you're lucky he'll only charge you $11 return.

I've been over a few times now with tBox and our yaks - most of the time its $30, we have been charged $11 on one occasion and It has been half price on Sundays.

Yeah forgot to mention if you take the car on Sundays and get on the 6.00am barge it's $50 return which with two people and two yaks is cheaper than walking them on together. Also with the car you can head up to Amity as well for a fish instead of paddling up there from Dunwich.

terms now include 'must be booked 1 week prior to departure'. too bad if you get rubbish weather.
